Brothers Al (Bass/Vocals) and Christian Staehely (Guitar/Vocals) released this one album after their involvement with the version of Spirit that recorded the “Feedback” (sans original members Randy California & Jay Ferguson) album.
Overall it’s a decent mostly average early seventies type album veering into country rock every so often.
Fans of the “Feedback” album might enjoy this one as the Staehley brothers composed the bulk of that albums material and it’s very much in the same style.
Al Staehley later showed up in “The Nick Gravenites /John Cipollina Band to record their 'Monkey Medicine” album.

Co-produced by The Staehelys and Alex Kazanegras, “Sta-Hay-Lee” was a bit more conventional and commercial than anything in the Spirit catalog. Brother All was responsible for most of the nine tracks (John did a lot of the arrangements), with Spirit keyboardist John Locke contributing two songs to the album. For anyone expecting to hear another Spirit album, be warned that Locke’s ‘Concrete and Steel’ came the closest to replicating Spirit’s loose, pseudo-jazzy catalog. Otherwise tracks like 'Future Shock’, 'Woe Is Me’, and 'Rockin’ In the Bush’ fell firmly into that mid-'70s blues-rock, bar rock genre that you either love, or find mindless and plodding. Coupled with Al’s distinctive Texas twang, I fall in the former category, liking the album quite a bit. Nah, musically it wasn’t groundbreaking, but it was consistent and enjoyable with the ballad 'Woman In Love’ and the blues-rocker 'Soldiers In the Night’ providing two of the highlights. Epic did next to nothing to promote the album; instead focusing on the next Spirit album. I’m not sure this one has ever been reissued…Bad Cat…~

Although bleaching treatment using all-transretinoicacid (RA) and hydroquinone (HQ) improves epidermal melanosis, the application of two medications and the irritant dermatitis induced by RA inconvenience patients. To overcome these problems, we developed a silicone sheet containing RA and HQ. To compare the efficacy of a silicone sheet containing RA and HQ with that of conventional bleaching treatment. Silicone sheets containing 1% RA and 5% HQ were applied at night during the bleaching phase of 4 weeks, followed by application of sheets containing 5% HQ during the healing phase of 4 weeks. Hemifacial epidermal melanosis, for which the sheets were applied, was compared with a contralateral face which was treated conventionally using RA and HQ. Twenty-four Japanese women who were enrolled in this study and followed up for more than 6 months were analyzed. RA/HQ sheets improved epidermal melanosis, as did the conventional bleaching method, but irritant dermatitis occurred less in patients treated using silicone sheets. RA/HQ sheets, which are easily applied to face skin, can improve epidermal melanosis to the same extent as conventional bleaching. © 2013 by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Inc.
